Google Fusion tables show the percent of population on Facebook by state. Kansas wins at 40.45%, California is at 34.66%, New York is at 33.27%, and New Mexico is the lowest at 16.04%. (via MarkPerry)
This is an interesting analysis. Even though California has the highest raw number of FB members (12MM), its 5th on a per capita basis. My current homestate of NJ has a strong showing at #7, my former homestate of Massachusetts is #3, while NY rounds out the top 10. What’s also interesting is that WV, Miss, and ALA make up 3 of the bottom 6 states, which somewhat correlates with their place in the US economy.
